Analysis of the reasons for high moisture content in sludge filter presses:

1. Uneven feed particle size: After flotation concentrate enters the concentrate pool, coarse particles easily settle, resulting in large deviations in water content in each batch. The moisture content of the flotation concentrate is not only unqualified but also unstable.

2. Pressing and blowing cannot be performed simultaneously, resulting in poor filter cake loosening. When the pressing time reaches a certain point, extending the pressing time has little effect on the moisture content.
3. Only one layer of coarse-grained permeable layer can be formed in the middle of the filter cake, for a single feeding. The total thickness of the filter cake is relatively thick, resulting in poor permeability and high moisture content of the flotation concentrate.
Several effective methods used by filter press manufacturers to solve the problem of high moisture content include:

1. Replacing the composite filter cloth with a single-fiber filter cloth, which has the advantages of high strength, resistance to clogging, resistance to deformation, uniform pore size, and easy cleaning and regeneration.
2. Cleaning the filter cloth every 24 hours to ensure that the pores of the filter cloth are not blocked. Damaged filter cloths should be inspected, replaced, and repaired in a timely manner to ensure their integrity and reuse, thereby reducing costs.

3. Reducing the drainage holes on both ends of the filter plates to reduce the loss of high-pressure air and ensure that the moisture content of the middle filter cake is not excessively high due to the attenuation of air pressure.
4. Changing the feeding method of the sludge filter press to single-sided feeding to solve the problem of material accumulation in the central feeding hole during unloading, and reduce the impact of material accumulation on the moisture content of the flotation concentrate.
